2019 3rInternational Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control (ISCSIC 2019) will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 25-27 September 2019.

In recent years, we have seen exciting new research and development on cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence. The computer and networking technologies, big data analytics, and machine learning are transforming many aspects of our industry, government, healthcare, and society. Machines are becoming smarter thanks to computer algorithms enabled by machine learning and artificial intelligence. Computer systems are no longer just performing computations. They now take inputs from various sensors, make autonomous decisions, and issue commands to actuators that could exert physical changes to equipment and environment. These new developments have revolutionised industrial manufacturing, transportation, and health and societal care. Together, computer science and intelligent control are making our life so much more convenient and enjoyable.

The 3rd International Symposium on Computer Science and Intelligent Control (ISCSIC 2019) aims to bring together researchers in the areas related to Computer Science and Intelligent Control in a single platform and present their stimulating research and knowledge transfer ideas in both Computer Science and Intelligent Control. This symposium welcomes new research in the areas of computer science and intelligent control, such as distributed systems, computer vision, image and signal processing, intelligent systems, robotics, industrial process control, big data analytics, modelling and optimisation, machine learning and artificial intelligence. However, we also recognise that the future for computer scientists and control engineers is one where they will be working in interdisciplinary teams to solve new, complex and evolving problems that will require innovative solutions. Therefore, we encourage participation of other disciplines in this conference where multidisciplinary research and knowledge transfer projects are presented.

The conference proceeding of ISCSIC 2019 is projected to be published in ACM same with ISCSIC 2018.

The 2nd ISCSIC has been held in Stockholm, Sweden on 21-23 September 2018, and accepted paper by ISCSIC 2018 has been published in ACM conference series.

The 1st ISCSIC has been held in Budapest, Hungary on 20-22 October 2017, and accepted paper by ISCSIC 2017 has been published in IEEE conference series and Journal Computer.

Poster Presentation

Posters are a key component of communicating your science and an important element in a successful scientific career. Posters, while delivering the same high-quality science, offer a different medium from either oral presentations or published papers, and should be treated accordingly. Posters should be considered a snapshot of your work intended to engage colleagues in a dialog about the work, or, if you are not present, to be a summary that will encourage the reader to want to learn more.

The poster is usually a mixture of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats. At a conference, the researcher stands by the poster display while other participants can come and view the presentation and interact with the author.

Sep. 26, 2019: Keynote Session+Parallel Sessions

Oral presentation

The main points to pay attention to in delivery are the quality of your voice, your rapport with the audience, use of notes and use of visual aids. Voice quality involves attention to volume, speed and fluency, clarity and pronunciation. The quality of your voice in a presentation will improve dramatically if you are able to practise beforehand in a room similar to the one you will be presenting in.

Rapport with the audience involves attention to eye contact, sensitivity to how the audience is responding to your talk and what you look like from the point of view of the audience. These can be improved by practising in front of one or two friends or video-taping your rehearsal.
